We are thrilled to announce that our School Worm Farm is officially up and running!
The children in our gardening club did a fantastic job working together to set it all up. They learned about vermicomposting, discovered how these special worms differ from the ones found in our garden, and got hands-on experience preparing the bedding and food for our new wriggly friends!
In addition to recycling our breaktime fruit peelings and organic waste in the composting bays, some of this waste will now nourish our worm farm, helping us create nutrient-rich vermicompost. This amazing compost will be used to enrich our raised beds in the school garden, promoting healthy growth for our plants.
We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported us by purchasing our produce last year. Your contributions helped make this project possible, and we appreciate it immensely!
