Last week, our Year 5 explorers took to the maps of Trawden and beyond, uncovering significant places of interest in our local community!
Today, we embraced the great outdoors during our Forest School session, honing our orienteering skills, using maps. The children set out using their maps to find the numbered points, answering various questions linked to this week’s learning.
But that’s not all! We also practised essential knot-tying techniques, including the clove hitch and figure 8 knots, in preparation for our exciting dens project next week.
We’re thrilled to see our students actively engaging with their environment and developing vital skills that will last a lifetime! Well done, Year 5!
