We had a fantastic morning celebrating Bastille Day. It began with a breakfast of pain au chocolat or a croissant before enjoying some other activities including some French dancing. We even managed to learn some of the song 'Old Macdonald had a Farm' in French! In class, we also learnt why Bastille Day is celebrated in France. Did you know that the Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution?
