Year 6 are Being Part of the Solution

This year, Year 6 have planned to be involved in a Community project, in order to make a positive difference to the local environment. They have named the project, 'Being Part of the Solution'. Phase one of the project involved meeting (virtually) the Chairman of the Community Shop followed by a visit to the shop to measure up for a community allotment, where fruit and vegetables could be grown and harvested by local people. The children, in Year 6, will be re-visiting the site several times to oversee the project and will be making various gifts to see in the community shop to raise funds for materials and resources, from seeds to spades!
