Hot off the press...Watch out for Trawden Forest's Reading Ambassadors within the local press (Granada Reports, the Lancashire Evening Telegraph and on 2BR) Six Ambassadors joined Mrs Dixon at the Ace Centre in Nelson for the Dragon's Den Event today (Friday 12th January 2018) This was the second WOW event of the academic year. The children had a range of roles; from welcoming local dignitaries including the Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle, talking to people from major local companies about their favourite books to even pitching to the 'Dragons' to acquire more books, money and support for the Pendle Reading Challenge. Layla, Mitchell, Kitty, Phoebe, Latifah and Chloe were all enthusiastic, mature role models whom I was proud to say were from our school.
