The Governors of Trawden Forest Primary School are seeking to appoint a Business Support Officer (Grade 4) to join our highly successful, welcoming, and dedicated school team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, organised and professional individual to work in a busy school office and play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
The Role
Working under the supervision of the School Bursar and the Headteacher the successful candidate will provide a wide range of administrative and clerical support services. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to respond professionally to parents, pupils, staff, external agencies and visitors.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Act as the first point of contact for parents and visitors to the school
· Responding to enquiries and providing advice and guidance to pupils, parents, and staff
· Carrying out word processing, spreadsheet work, data input, and filing using a range of IT software
· Supporting the day-to-day administration of a busy primary school office, including telephone and reception duties
· Preparing written communications for parents and pupils and maintaining records of replies received.
· Maintaining, updating, and extracting information from school systems and databases

Qualifications
Essential
· GCSEs (or equivalent) grade C or above - must include English and Maths
Desirable
· First Aid qualification
· Relevant IT or administrative qualifications
· NVQ level 2 Business and Administration qualification (or above)
Experience
Essential
· Previous office-based experience, including answering telephones and reception duties
· Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Desirable
· Experience of using SIMS, Finance 6, or another relevant finance/IT system
· Experience of working with children and families within a primary school setting
