
Class Teacher (EYFS) – Part-Time (0.6 Permanent)
The Headteacher and Governors of Trawden Forest Primary School are seeking to appoint a passionate, skilled, enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic class teacher who is committed to playing an active role in the lives and ongoing development of our children and our good school.
This is a permanent, part‑time (0.6) post. This exciting opportunity will involve sharing responsibility for teaching and learning within our EYFS classroom.
The successful candidate will join a dedicated and supportive staff team who are committed to providing the very best education within an outstanding setting. They will be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and have high expectations across all areas of school life, with a strong passion for ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
As part of our wonderful staff team, you will work in a school where pupils enjoy coming to school and are keen to learn which makes our role both rewarding and fulfilling. This post is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). It is maincsale M3-M6 post.

- Promote positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
- Have high expectations for pupil learning, behaviour, and attainment
- Demonstrate a creative and practical approach to learning
- Have an excellent working knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
- Have experience working with a range of special educational and behavioural needs
- Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Assist with the assessment, monitoring, and recording of pupils’ progress and developmental needs
- Support learning through high‑quality continuous provision
- Be committed to continuous professional development
- Uphold and promote the ethos and values of the school

The successful applicant will join the Trawden Forest Primary School team and contribute to the high standards of teaching and learning across the school. The role will include responsibility for a curriculum subject, depending on experience.
Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Essential Experience
- Proven experience of delivering effective teaching and learning in an EYFS setting
- Experience of working with continuous provision and a strong understanding of how high‑quality EYFS provision meets individual children’s needs
- Experience of leading a subject
- Experience of working with children with a range of SEND
Desirable Experience
- Experience of teaching in more than one school
